At the gala din­ner at the 32nd ICANN mee­ting today evening in Paris Jean-Lou­is Mis­si­ka from the pari­si­an city govern­ment announ­ced the sup­port of Paris for aqui­ring the TLD .paris. With this Paris is in good com­pa­ny with us: Alre­a­dy in janu­ary the Ger­man Bun­des­tag filed a reso­lu­ti­on to sup­port the intro­duc­tion of regio­nal and city TLDs. As initia­tor for city TLDs we are plea­sed that now the .paris ini­ta­ti­ve also got poli­ti­cal sup­port for their project.
