We had been invi­ted by the Com­mit­tee of the Govern­ment repre­sen­ta­ti­ves at ICANN (the so-cal­led Govern­men­tal Advi­so­ry Com­mit­tee, GAC) to pre­sent our initia­ti­ve. Fol­lo­wed by an over­view of cityTLDs in gene­ral we pre­sen­ted the com­mon grounds and dif­fe­ren­ces of the most-known cityTLD initia­ti­ves .ber­lin, .paris, and .nyc. The repre­sen­ta­ti­ves were espe­ci­al­ly inte­res­ted in details about the legal frame­work for cityTLDs, the tar­get group and the pro­ce­du­re how to reser­ve names for public aut­ho­ri­ties (like dis­tricts, administration,…).
